Center is the promotion of productsmade

countries’markets. Themanagement of
Ukrainian Trade Center at once took into
account the fact that Gulf countries have
their unique specifics due to the peculiarities
of making business in the Islamicworld.
Therefore, UTC does not limit its activities
with traditional consulting technologies.
Even the knowledge of legislation is not
enough for finding a solid niche on this
specificmarket. Personal contacts in the
local business community and in the
government offices are sometimesmore
efficient than following themarketing
schemes.
Out of thenumerous contactswith
different organizations and agencies of
UAE, special attention shouldbepaid to the
cooperationof UTCwith theChamber of
Commerce and Industryof Dubai and the
UAE. Virtually all large scaleevents, forums
and conferences organizedbyUTC inDubai
wereprepared and implemented in close
cooperationwith themanagement of CCI of
Dubai andUAE, inparticular, with theBusiness
Trade and Industrial Development Support
Department headedbyMr. Sultan Lutah.
For instance, a real breakthrough in the field
of cooperationof businessmenofUkraineand
theUAEwas the international forumorganized
byUTCand titled“Spheresof Cooperation
betweenUkraineandUAE”. Government
support of the forumandparticipationof
VelentynaSemenuk, theHeadof StateProperty
FundofUkraine,ministersof theAutonomous
Republicof Crimeaandparliamentmembers
supported the statusofUkrainianTradeCenter
as theorganizer of this event.
CooperationbetweenUTC and the
Administrationof Jebel Ali FreeZone (JAFZA)
turnedout tobe very effective. Today, Jebel
Ali is the leading freeeconomic zone in the
UAE andoneof themost successful FEZ in
theworld. Aftermanymonths of diligent
workperformedbyUTC, longnegotiations
and visits of Ukrainiandelegations toDubai
and representatives of JAFZA toUkraine, the
cooperation agreementwas signedbetween
Javza andUkrainian Fund for Support of
Investments andPrivatization, whichnow
represents the interests of JAFZA inUkraine.
With immediate support fromUTC, last year
a fewbranches of Ukrainian companies
were registered in Jebel Ali FreeZone. Now
these companies enjoy all thebenefits and
preferences providedby the FZ administration.
Today, these companies use actively thehighly
beneficial taxationmode andgeographical
locationof Jebel Ali andDubai for entering the
markets of other Gulf countries.
