Description
The increasednumber of complicatedport-
ableelectronic equipment containingelectrical
accumulator batterys in last 5-10 years, tendency
towideningof theequipment functions and
reductionof dimensions, and alsopressingneed
formass applicationof ecologicallypure renew-
able sources of energy – these are thenecessary
prerequisites formass applicationof decentral-
izedphotovoltaic chargers.
Portable solar arrays are intended for profes-
sional andeverydayportableelectronic equip-
ment power supply (mobile and satellitephones,
satellitenavigation systems, portable computers,
modernphoto- and video- cameras, ecological
monitoringequipment, audioequipment etc.) in
autonomous conditions.
Theprincipleof electrical energygeneration
by solar arrays is basedonphotovoltaic effect in
semiconductor structureswithp-n- junction. The
monocrystalline silicon asmaterial for solar cells
is used. It allows toensurehighefficiencyof pho-
toconversion and long service life. Thehermetic
sealing is carriedoutwith theuseof hot lamina-
tion in vacuum technology.
On Fig. 1 a vacuum laminator VL540/290 is
presentedwhichwas developed andmade in
SDTBof V.Lashkaryov ISPof NASof Ukraine and
was used for experimental samples of solar arrays
manufacturing..
On Fig. 2 anexperimental sampleof solar
array formobilephones SBMT-S-8.0-0.23 is pre-

sented, which canbeused for other portable
equipment aswell.
