of a concept of yachting tourismonCrimean
peninsula: Black SeaNavy FleetYachting club
is being reconstructed, constructionproject for
yachtingmarina inBelyaus is tobegin soon (this
onegoes 11 kmdeep into the continent and
thewaterway is 8 to18mdeep). Theproject
of development of anetwork containing at
least ten yachtingports along the coast is to
opennewprospects for yachting tourism,
which is really fashionablenow around the
world. According to theexperts, establishment
of a few FEZwouldhave apositiveeffect on
thedevelopment of Crimea. For instance,
establishment of such FEZ inDubai as Jebel Ali,
Internet City, MediaCity, etc., caused the inflow
of intellectual workforce and, therefore, formed a
richer class of population, which in turn caused
constructionboom andgrowthof trade, aswell
as theestablishment of financial center inDubai
(Dubai International Financial Center).
Industryof theAutonomous Republicof
Crimeacontainsmore than255 largeandmedium
enterprises employingmore than75 thousand
people, aswell as 1,800 small enterprises
employing16 thousandmorepeople.
Extracting industry is focusedonutilizing the
mineral resourcesof thepeninsula. Provisionof
mineral resources is estimated, as follows:
- adsorptionclay, rawmaterials for cement
production, coatingand saw stones and lime
stones –more than100 years;
- chalk, construction rocks and sand, haydite
– at least 50 years.
Estimated resources of theextracted
carbohydrates of theAzov –Black Sea region
equal 1.5–2.5 trillion cubicmeters ingas
equivalent, which contributes to30%of the
aggregate carbohydrate resources of Ukraine.
Crimeahas rather unique (on the condition
of ecologically substantiatedextraction level)
resources of salt lakes brine, carbonate raw
materials, salt, curativemud,mineral and thermal
water andotherminerals (Yevpatoriya and
Chernomorsky regions).
On the territoryof the autonomous republic,
there is anumber of chemical enterprisesmaking
uniqueproducts:
- titaniumdioxide andmineral fertilizers
(ammophos);
- soda ash;
- liquidbromine, ferrous bromine,
dibrompropane, bromine salt.
