PrimeMinisterMykolaAzarov. During their
meeting theUkrainianofficial voicedhis opinion
that the visit of theGeneral Director of Dubai
Chamber of Commerce and Industrywouldhelp
promotingUkraine’s positive image among the
representatives of business eliteof UAE.
–TheCabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is
going to focus its efforts on the increase of the
level of investment attractiveness for foreign
investors, especially for those investing into
the innovative production technologies. – said
Ukraine’s First Deputy PrimeMinisterMykola
Azarov. – Since the newgovernment began
working inUkraine, newprospectswere open
for cooperationbetweenour countries.
Ukrainecouldoffer foreignpartnersmany
directions for cooperation.MykolaAzarov told,
inparticular, about theunique technologies
developedbyUkrainian scientists in the sphere
of aircraft design. For instance, thedesigners
havedeveloped several unprecedentedaircraft
includingAN-148. Theprocessof designing
AN-70 isnearingend, in2008, serial production
of this aircraft isgoing tobegin.When this
aircraftwasdesigned, thedesigners knewabout
serious competition from leadingEuropeanand
Americancompanies and thereforeprovided
certaincompetitive strengthsmaking this cargo
aircraft better thanall the foreign-madeanalogs.
Moreover, according toexpert opinions, noaircraft
with similar characteristics isgoing tobemade
inany foreigncountrywithin thenext 10 years.
However, Ukraineneeds investments tobegin
serial productionof this aircraft. Additionally,
Ukrainealreadyhas variousmodificationsof
technical purposeplanes, e.g. forest firefighting
aircrafts, etc. Also, Ukraine is aEuropean leader
in the fieldof building themotors for planes and
helicopters. Full-cycleaircraft-buildingcorporation
hasbeenestablished inUkraine. Productsmade
by this corporationcomplywith ISO9000andwill
becertified for export.
CooperationbetweenUkraine andUAE in
the fieldof aircraft buildinghas goodprospects
given the fact that Dubai Emirate is buildingone
of theworld’s largest airports Jebel Ali. After its
commissioning it is going to service120million
passengers a year andprocess huge amounts
of cargo. It is clear that the Emirate is going to
expand its fleet of aircraft of different purposes,
said theGeneral Director of Dubai Chamber of
Commerce and IndustryAlMutaiwi.
