Themaingoal ofUkrainianTradeCenter is
thepromotionof productsmadebyUkrainian
manufacturerson theGulf countries’markets. The
management ofUkrainianTradeCenter at once
took intoaccount the fact thatGulf countrieshave
their unique specificsdue to thepeculiaritiesof
makingbusiness in the Islamicworld. Therefore,
UTCdoesnot limit its activitieswith traditional
consulting technologies. Even the knowledgeof
legislation isnot enough for findinga solidniche
on this specificmarket. Personal contacts in the
local business communityand in thegovernment
offices are sometimesmoreefficient than
following themarketing schemes.
Out of thenumerous contactswithdifferent
organizations andagenciesofUAE, special
attention shouldbepaid to thecooperationof
UTCwith theChamber of Commerceand Industry
ofDubai and theUAE. Virtuallyall large scale
events, forums andconferencesorganizedby
UTC inDubaiwerepreparedand implemented in
closecooperationwith themanagement of CCI

For instance, a real breakthrough in the field
of cooperationofbusinessmenofUkraineand the
UAEwas the international forumorganizedbyUTC
and titled“SpheresofCooperationbetweenUkraine
andUAE”. Government supportof the forumand
participationofVelentynaSemenuk, theHeadof
StatePropertyFundofUkraine,ministersof the
AutonomousRepublicofCrimeaandparliament
members supported the statusofUkrainianTrade
Center as theorganizerof thisevent.
CooperationbetweenUTCand the
Administrationof Jebel Ali FreeZone (JAFZA)
turnedout tobeveryeffective. Today, Jebel Ali
is the leading freeeconomic zone in theUAE
andoneof themost successful FEZ in theworld.
Aftermanymonthsof diligentworkperformed
byUTC, longnegotiations andvisitsofUkrainian
delegations toDubai and representativesof
JAFZA toUkraine, thecooperationagreement
was signedbetween JavzaandUkrainianFund for
Support of Investments andPrivatization,which
now represents the interestsof JAFZA inUkraine.
With immediate support fromUTC, last year a few
branchesofUkrainiancompanieswere registered
in Jebel Ali FreeZone. Now thesecompanies
enjoyall thebenefits andpreferencesprovidedby
theFZadministration. Today, thesecompaniesuse
