theUAE–Dubai. Now, after theestablishment of
theUTC, Ukrainianbusinessmen visitingDubai
have theopportunity tousequalified specialist
services in the region that is considered tobe
theworld’smost attractivebusiness region. The
efficiencyof UTCoperations is basedonmany
serious factors includingGovernment relations.
And itwas only logical that the license issued
to theUkrainianTradeCenter by the Economic
Development Department of Dubai stated in the
Legal type section: “Government RelationsOffice”.
Businesspressbegins towritemoreandmore
oftenabout the fact that the increaseof capital
market globalization requires establishing relations
with investors andbusinesspartners inmany
countries. However, it hasbeendifficult todefine
auniversal scheme,which, if followed,would
guaranteeestablishing fruitful business contacts.
On theother hand, in fact, economic
specialists and financial sector employees areat
the topofUkraine’sTop20prestigiousprofessions.
However, experiencedemonstrates that inorder
tobuildproductiveandefficient relationshipswith
investors, or deliver thebusiness toaneworbit,
theeffortsof financial andeconomic specialists
arenot quite sufficient.
Theactual problem is that progress in
business sphereandespecially in the fieldof
bringing innew foreign investors isonlypossible
under certainconditions.What isneeded is
comfortableand stableenvironment for business
development, demonstrationof social importance
of suchbusiness for the regionand stable
conditionswithdynamicchanges in legislation.
Inotherwords, success isguaranteedbygood
reputationwithgovernment structures.
Today, people seldommention thenecessity
of creationof apositive imageof thecompany
ingovernment structures. The talkoncorruption
in thegovernment createda stereotype that it is
onlypossible to solve important problemsusing
criminallypunishableactions.
On the other hand, the rule that says good
business should always have goodpublic
relations has been adopted and implemented.
Today, almost all reputable companies have PR
departments and in large corporations there is a
preference for development of corporate, social
andbrand PR.
It is a commonly acceptedopinion that
standards of efficientmanagement include
establishingefficient communicationswith all
“subjects of external environment”. However, until
recently, this environment included all subjects
but government agencies. Itwas assumed that
government structures are absolutelyobjective
andequal in their treatment of all subjects they
contactwith. It is good that lately the issueof
relations betweenbusinesses andgovernment
has been treatedmore “technologically”andnow
wehearmore andmore aboutmethodologies of
wise communicationswith thegovernment, or in
otherwords - government relations.
